| I have an 8 inch barrel on my AR pistol. Is the Flaming Pig my only option for a flash hider? Or, can I use the Flash Can? Thanks for any help |
| A flash can does not reduce flash in the slightest. The flaming pig should significantly reduce flash, but not eliminate it. There are a few other good options now: Spikes Barking Spider, PWS CQB, VLTor Norwhal, etc. All these have a single baffle that strips some of the gasses off, which adds back pressure to ensure reliability on an AR pistol, and reduces flash. |

Your question does not fully make sense, but as long as the threads match you are good to screw anything on the end of your barrel. As for options, I currently run a Flaming Pig KX5 on my AR pistol and would recommend it. With that being said, there are a large amount of different options out there and it is all in what you are looking to do. Flash Suppression, sound control, recoil management, etc...

If you're trying to reduce muzzle flash, you probably will have to try different brands of ammo to see which will work for you. I've had good luck with most versions of Hornady Tap, especially their 75gr SBR round, although it's a little smokey. On the other hand, mil surplus M193 and M855 really generate some impressive fireballs, almost to the point that you don't need a weapons light |

Suppressor is out of my budget. I'll look into ear pro. But what about the rest of my family that may be next to or behind me? I would assume any if the flash can style would direct most of the noise/flash away, right? Indoors, any effect it would have would be negligible. |
