Greetings,

Im gradually getting done with my first pistol build and I'm super excited. All that I have left to acquire are the complete lower and handguard and a heavy buffer. Besides that will just be cerakote and assembly cost. Does anyone know of the best or least expensive place to purchase MAGPUL Gen 2 MBUS sites? Trying to find the best price - or if anyone might have some used that they no longer need.

What caliber and what barrel length/make?

Try a standard buffer first. I have only found a heavy buffer was needed with hot loads in my 300blk. Now I added an adjustable gas block, I adjust the gas down and use a std buffer.

My 223/556 uses the standard buffer with a 10.5" barrel.

The link shown above is a good price on magpul BUIS.

I went Opticsplanet for my set.  They have a 10% off at the moment.

I got a 7.5 inch 5.56 upper to run smooth with a Spikes ST-T2 buffer and for another sights option I got the FAB Defense flip up sights off Amazon. But that first post with link to the Magpuls is also a good deal. Show us some pics when you are done. I just finished a pistol build from a lower I made myself (in my kitchen) and a bunch of left over parts from other builds.

Thanks for this.  $69 with no tax and free shipping and they have a few colors available.  That's definitely the cheapest lowest I've seen for the Magpuls.  I did snag a couple sets of Sniper brand poly sights off amazon.  They ain't no Magpuls, but they work.  And for $25 for the set, they're a decent purchase if you just need something to toss on a plinker.   https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0189ID7HC

Just go with a standard carbine buffer. I've run 7", 7.5", and 10.5" 5.56 AR's just fine with one.

A buffer isnt big enough of an expense for me to worry about.... I'll run a standard and if i need to make an emergency order for a h3 then I'll just do that when the time comes. More of my worry is PSA getting this pistol lower back in stock in time to make my christmas deadline....

So I need sights - handguard - complete lower - i want to change the buffer tube though it comes with one to the Phase 5. I don't think i'm going to make cerakote in time but im going to try to get it all done. I was told he has about a 3 week turnaround time and the assembly guy told me it will take about 1 week. So to me I need to have it shipped out prior to thanksgiving to have a shot to have it in hand.

Anyone happen to be selling a Phase 5 buffer tube? lol
