I have searched and have not been able to find the awnser.
A pistol has to be 26" or under and over 26" with a barrel under 16" is a SBR correct?
I have read where the measurement is from the end of the barrel (not the flash hider) to the end of the buffer tube.
What if the free float tube extends past the front of the barrel?
What if the shockwave blade extends past the end of the buffer tube?
Thank You for taking the time to awnser my questions.

No.

Federally, a pistol can be any OAL or have a barrel of any length.

The only thing special about a 26" OAL handgun is that you can add a vertical forward grip to it, at which time it becomes a legal non-NFA "firearm". Remove the VFG and it's magically a pistol again.

And yes, OAL is from end of barrel (muzzle device isn't part of the barrel unless permanently attached) to "extreme rearward end of the firearm" (or stock), which in the case of a conventional AR pistol is generally conceded to be the end of the receiver extension (buffer tube). You can add  anything to the ass end of a pistol you want except a stock, but that doesn't mean it becomes part of the firearm. Same about the other end, anything sticking out beyond a barrel ain't a barrel and only a barrel counts.

Note however that some states have more stringent OAL and/or barrel requirements to fit the handgun definition. Never heard any regarding IN, but couldn't say for sure.
