| I need to know if the Yankee Hill Machine 10.5" Barrel will work with a Midwest Industries Gen 2 T series 10" FF one piece rail. Is their 10" rail EXACTLY 10"? I know sometimes measurements are off and this need to line up correctly so I am not blowing gas from the muzzle device onto the rail. I want to minimize naked barrel sticking out, but I don't wanna throw gas/concussion into the rail. I dont want ports on my muzzle device (Probably just an a2 FH for now) to be under the rail? Know what I mean? |

There is an offset between barrel length and rail length. An 8" barrel will stick out from a 7" rail about 1/2".
If the rail and barrel are the same length, the barrel will be recessed in the rail about 1/2" if you don't have a muzzle device. If you use a Noveske KX-3 or similar device, being recessed is fine. The end of the device will be about 2" past the end of the barrel. |

when measured 10" from the receiver it was a smig past the threads... That was the same for me with my 12.5" barrel and 12" handguard. The handguard was just about a quarter or half inch past the end of the barrel, just enough to require a Troy Claymore vs the FSC556 like I wanted. Just use some sort of linear comp you'll be fine |
