And before someone cries my oal is 27 inches so vfgs are good to go i was all vfg until i ran my carbine through a class, as the instructor pointed out most of use don't use the vfg under stress, i use the c-clamp with my index finger pointing forward, by far my favorite grip under rapid fire, it is the best for managing recoil afg is just too small for my hands, BUT its all truly preference i tried them all and found what i like, |
| I found that by using the AFG, I was putting undue stress on my support side. I was pulling the gun into my shoulder too hard. I have big hands and I felt like I was still trying to manhandle it. The natural feel of holding the hand guard/rail is indeed...natural. Therefore, I went with the handstop kit. I haven't looked back since. My support side is more relaxed and the position of my handstop is muscle memory and feels natural. BTW, I have the handstop in the same position for each of my ARs. |
