There are a bunch available:
Spikes - has QD built int end of tube Phase 5 Rock River Arms PSA - same as RRA KAK Industries - has both smooth and popcorn flutted Vendors: KAK Industries Exile Machine Spikes Pallmetto State Armory All are available as Tube only and Tube/Spring and Buffer as an Option. some require Reciever end plate and castle nut Exile usually has several in stock and has foam and rubber covers, And they ship really fast. There are more, but, these were the ones that came to mind. |
One thing you will find with Carbine Pistol Buffer tubes is that internaly they are all the same length, give or take an eighth of an inch, externally they vary greatly in length and diameter, the spikes is longer (1/4") due to the QD sling mount built into the end of the tube, some tubes are smaller diameter from a little over 1" to 1.33". I've run most of the tubes I listed on pistols with 10.5", 9" and 7.5" barreled uppers in both 5.56 and 300 Blackout, Last February when there wasn't many parts available due to the buying frenzy, I took a standard Mil-spec six position carbine buffer tube, used a dremel w/ cut off wheel to remove the bottom lug, then used belt sander to smooth the tube, I'm still using it on one of my 300 Blk pistols.
If you could see under the foam cover, its nice and silver, I didn't bother to paint the tube,

I used a commercial spec for the bigger diameter and foam bike grips off amazon. I ground mine down with a 4" angle grinder though and finished it with a flapper then hand sanded it some and painted it.
