| Just test fired my pistol, and while it was a blast and functioned flawlessly, the ACE buffer tube beat the hell out of my shoulder. I'm a pretty boney guy so I don't have much padding in the shoulder area, and my shoulder looks worse now than after a full day of trap shoot ing. So what have you guys done to combat this issue? I'd love see some kind of rubber cap that screws on the end or something similar. Definitely want to keep a clean finished look. |
| I was thinking of using the rubber grip-dip stuff for re-gripping tools, from home depot or lowes as well. I used it on my sling hooks, and sling mounts to cut out the rattle of metal on metal. You can just dip the buffer tube in the can of the stuff, let it dry and then you will have a uniform rubber cover, that is adhered to the actual tube. The stuff lasts pretty good, especially for being on the sharp edges on the hooks, and clips. |

That's because it wasn't designed and intended to be fired from your shoulder. Mine shoots just fine with a good cheek weld. If I want to shoulder a firearm I use a rifle. Proper tools and all. Quoted: I'll see your So you're modifying your pistol with the intent of making it easier to shoulder it, and talking about it on a public forum no less. ![]() and I raise you ![]() .You can't fix stupid. |

You can't fix stupid. This is the very reason I have registered SBRs. For those who can do it $200 is cheap peace of mind for protection against vague stupid laws that are open to subjective interpretation. |

Not a total idiot. Just looking to finish off the end. And just because it wasn't designed to be shot from the shoulder doesn't mean it can't be. You guys are talking like nobody fires these from the shoulder. And this is going to be an SBR soon. |
