 would it be ok to screw a sling mount to the rear of your buffer tube, i know they are ok on the front of the buffer tube? has this ever been addressed ? permanently attaching one to the rear would prevent a stock from being mounted! what say you?

Easier just to unscrew the buffer tube and swap out your end plate for this one:
Have this one (middle) on all my AR-15s including my AR-15 pistol. Spikes Tactical sells them! Get a single point sling too.
