I saw the thread here but cant find it. I have a AR Pistola with a 7.5 barrel. You are supposed to put a different Oring on the extractor to help with cycling. What color Oring is the strongest one?

I was an armorer for an infantry unit in the USMC and I can tell you 99% of the time double feeds and jams of many kinds are simply weak extractor spring tension. my thumb was " calibrated "
to tell if there was enuf extractor spring tension. I also got the bravo company extractor upgrade kit ... chrome silicone spring / black insert and black o ring. guess what I couldnt even get the bolt reaSSEMBLED WITH THE O RING IN PLACE! so i just used the chrome silicon spring with tiny black insert : result? my thumb cant even budge the extractor the tension is so strong and installation was easy. later i fired about 220 rounds with zero failures. extractor upgrade is a wise investment and cheap insurance. |
