Well I am impressed, shot an ar pistol for the first time. I have been wanting an SBR AR15 for some time, well instead of starting with the SBR I decided to build a pistol, get it running reliably and then go the SBR route. I did a lot of research on good short barrel combo's and tried to put together a kit that would work 100% out of the box. Here is what I put together,
I have decided to take the rail off, and ordered a matching hand guard from Cav Arms, just until I get the SBR papers back and the stock balances the rail better. Armalite Lower With NM 2 Stage (Got a screaming deal on the lower with parts kit installed) Spikes Pistol Extension Spikes ST-2T Buffer and Stainless Spring BCM Bolt and Auto Carrier LMT 10.5 Upper Receiver Group Whata Grip on Extension Magpul Asap, Miad, and MBUS Recoil on this thing is so much less when compared to my 16 and 14.5 inch. It can be cheeked or shouldered with ease and is very accurate for a CL short barrel, so far it has been flawless with everything. Ran good on M855, M193, Georgia Arms 223, Remington 223 and Wolf 62 grain. One note on the wolf is it ran perfect but failed to hold the bolt open on the last round. 200 rounds and not a problem at all, one shot kills using the irons shooting birds on the 50 yard burm. It is noticeable louder than the others AR's and would also drowned out the SKS when fired, but it was not uncomfortable to shoot.I am very happy with the performance overall and before this never had the urge to have a pistol AR. It is one of those things that kind of seems pointless until you shoot one, it will give you a whole new perspective on what kind of purposes and uses this tool can have. It also impressed a stubborn USMC gunny that does not see a use for things that are not issued, he liked it, so I can now say that like my Glock, this pistol is gunny approved! After this one is SBR'd then I think I will build a 7.5 just to piss off the liberals, and I can always throw the 22 conversions in the upper and slap it on the SBR. |

Outstanding.I have the LMT 10.5 as pistol also until i get a stamp.RRA lower,BCM BCG too,DD Omega,XTM panels,Spikes buffer tube,But the ST-2T buffer.Aimpoint CompML2.
I got the what a grip too...Mine rocks on everything so far but i don't shoot steel case.I took my nephew out today and he loved it.He's from California...heh heh! Yeah i love my Pistol too and its getting more range time then the other AR's...its just so damn fun huh?
