On my M4gery i love them but on a pistol its really just a reference point than pin point accuracy as they are just way to close to be practical.

True, not to turn this into a BUIS thread, but have you had any problems with them on the m4gery?

If you need true back up sights in the event your optics fail, these are great as they are super lightweight.  I'm told they can break if overtightened though.  Be careful of that.

Honestly, neither of those things factor much into my decision. I will probably never have to depend on these for my life, but I'd like to have a decent and semi-rugged set of BUIS

First off, Nice setup Lundo12!  I'm digging the TLR2.  I love running a laser on my AR pistol but having a separate laser from a light get's heavy and unnecessary so I usually have one or the other and not both.  I've been eyeing the TLR2 though..  Would you recommend it?  Does it mount up nice and sturdy and are the controls easily accessed?  Any downsides?

As far as the MBUS goes.  They're a solid unit and I highly recommend them.  If you trust a Pmag (or Emag) on your AR then you should trust a MBUS.  They mount up nicely and are very easy to deploy.  They took a while to zero but I think that was just me and they've held zero just fine.

The new TLR2 sports 135 lumens verses the older models 80 so big plus there.  As far as the laser portion goes it's the only practical use i've found for one on a firearm.  I may at one point get a mini Eotech but for now its done.
