This thread (http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=124&t=176230) got me thinking. What is the legality of putting a "finger saver" type device on an AR pistol. MP5/k sometimes sport one but I don't remember seeing any on an SP89 and I don't think I've ever seen one on an AR pistol. Thoughts? |

Quoted: Quoted: I like the idea would like to see it executed on the AR. Ok! If you can't grip it, you won't have an issue. It's a safety device, pure and simple. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t274/Tomb007/P5070055.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t274/Tomb007/P5070054.jpg I don't want to grip it and honestly I don't need it to keep my fingers from going in front of the muzzle. I simply want a reference position for my hand. What kind is that on yours? |

Just saw this in the New AR stuff forum. Frankly I think $60 is a big much. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=124&t=448351 |

The only purpose, save the fingers you got, I feel better having than not, just on slip is all it takes. YMMMV ![]() Who makes the one in the pics you posted? It originally was a ACE LTD. product that I modified slightly by removing some material. Truth be told I can't even recall what they called it correctly, something along the lines of a barricade bridge. At the time it sold for about $10. In it's original state one would could use it to lean into an wall's edge to achieve really firm support while shooting. I had used it a couple of times hunting where standing and leaning against a tree would make for a very stable shooting platform. |
