I was looking at the picture thread and I'm trying to figure out how the RRA pistol receiver extension is secured to the lower. No castle nut? Does it keep the end plate secure? What's the trick?

Thanks.

It just screws in against the plate. I just put mine in hand tight and have never had a prob. I suppose you could locktite it or use a strap wrench on it if you wanted. It screws in just the right distance to retain the buffer detent and spring perfectly. It is not designed to use a castle nut or anything else.

I do not have a good pic right now but I can attest to the fact that is does just screw right in.

The factory uses red loctite.  I used blue.
