Would like to build a upper like this how do i go about doing this what to order etc. not to familar with ar parts, would i just need a mid length handguards and low profile gas block?? Quoted:

| Yeah on a 7"-7.5" you'll want a carbine length free float handguard. The gas system will still be pistol length. Also you are correct that you'll need low profile gas block. Some guys just get a barrel with an A2 front tower and cut the sight off leaving the gas block. Make sure if you go that route your careful not to damage the gas block part of the sight also if it has a bayonet lug that'll need to go too. The easy way of course is to order a low profile from MI or Larue. |

Should I still use the carbine length free float handguard? Does anyone have a picture of what that will look like? Thanks |
