Has any body had any problems with frangible ammo out of your .223 AR pistol.  I am having a tumbling issue. With the muzzle brake on it hits it on the bottom before it exits and is completely sideways at 7yrds. With out the brake it seems to have a yaw a little bit, slightly elongated hole.  It only seems to do to with frangible ammo.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All it says is AA40, .223,  Frangible, and a bunch of numbers. don't know much else  about it. It works fine out of my A2 and CAR but has trouble in the pistol.

Obviously the twist rate is too slow for the given barrel length...

For example, a 1:9 twist in a 7" barrel just *MIGHT* under-stabilize some rounds...

I use Federal .223 REM 42 grain BallistiClean Close Quarters Training Compressed Copper.

The Only problems I have with this ammo is sometimes it does not have enough power to lock the bolt to the rear on the last round (sometimes).  As for your ammo I dont have any experience with it.

Is it this stuff?  LINK TO PIC
If so, you might want to look at the ammoman site or call them for more info.

We recently tested some of this:

It went through 1/2 steel like butter and passed 8 sheets or drywall like nothing ...
