Just finished it... still needs some sort of irons or optics... I ended up tapping the take down pin spring hole 4-40 and putting a set screw in it. I was using a washer on the buffer tube to hold the spring in due to the pistol buffer not holding it in like a shoulder stock would -- but the buffer detent wasn't held in all the way either because of the extra 2mm thickness of the washer keeping the tube from going in all the way. On top, Spike's Tactical pistol engraved lower with Ace buffer kit and the upper is a 7.5" A2 with heavy barrel and YHM lightweight free float mini rail...
In the middle, LCW pistol engraved lower with Ace buffer kit and the upper is an 11.5" A2 with lightweight barrel and YHM lightweight free float rail... On bottom, LCW pistol engraved lower with Ace buffer kit and the upper is an 11.5" flat top with heavy barrel and YHM lightweight free float rail, YHM quad rail gas block, YHM flip-up sights, Beamshot 1001U laser, BSE holo-sight (which works GREAT, regardless of what some may say...I've got quite a few of them, and all have worked flawlessly after several hundred rounds through each, and you can't beat the $30 Ebay price, although all of mine are BSA...I'm not sure about the quality of the other brands that look identical)... http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/qq246/juju151/arp001.jpg |

Here's the 7.5" resting at home after some range time...
The stand that it's sitting on works great also...It used to be one of those rolling things that you hang clothes on. My wife had taken it apart and it was sitting on the shelves in the garage, so I cut it up, took the wheels off and replaced them with some adjustable feet that I had in the bolt bin, and drilled some holes for the short bungees to go through. And TADA!...it a bench rest. I said nope...it's a pistol. So he came over and checked it out, and said we would like to have one as well. |

 Finally got her together last nite. Only took about a year to build haha Noveske stripped lower Doublestar partial lpk Noveske kx3 Cmmg 7.3 medcon chrome barrel Cmmg a2 upper with m4 feedramps (yep barrel too) ace pistol buffer assy DPMS TiN bolt/carrier assy kns no-turn trigger pins battlegrip etc etc Special thanks to pk firearms and coldwar shooters. Had a blast building my first ever ar. I'm already starting on my 2nd and 3rd :) Now off to the range to put some downrange and see how hard this girl is to get along with. woot! p.s. buncha other pics in the build it yourself forum g |

I'll start with my classic 5.56/.223 doublestar lower, 10.5" j&t upper..trunk gun. This thing is indestructible, never any problems, extremely tight, accurate, and fun as hell! And now my newest project...I'm still waiting on my Anvil Arms pistol lower with the grim reaper engraved  , but temp. pics with unloaded beta c mag. It's temporarily using the double star lower. It's an RRA upper, 9" TROS barrel, and 3 lug flash hider with 7" midwest industries quad rail, Hahn precision bottom loading mag block. And the light is a surefire knock off, uses all of the same parts though, and makes an excellent grip point.   |
