Cool, thank you. I manufacture a version of the "Solo AR" and am considering designing a broomhandle grip for it. I'll see if Future Forged is interested first! Check our pistols out at cantoarms.com.

FINALLY got my SB TF1913 brace in today!    I'll post more pics after I get home from work.

ETA:  I’m pretty impressed with it so far!  Have to see how well it does while shooting.

I only have one pistol lower, but it’s a testament to the versatility of the AR platform and the M4E1 lower.

I run two uppers in 300 Blackout and .22LR and it is phenomenal with both!

The 300 upper packs a lot of power and versatility into a really small, light package. I like shooting both unsuppressed supers and suppressed subs. For me it’s the ultimate bum-around-the-woods gun.

The 22 upper is just plain fun, and with the price of 300 blackout in crazy town it keeps me shooting until the day when prices (hopefully) return to sane levels.

Both uppers suppress really well. I think my next project is to build out a pelican case for the pair!!

Long live the slick side!

Lower specs:
Aero Precision M4E1 lower receiver
SB Tactical SBA3 Brace
Spikes T2 buffer, Tubbs flat wire spring
Larue MBT-2S trigger
Magpul MOE-SL grip

300 Blk upper:
AP M4E1 Thunder Ranch upper receiver
Ballistic Advantage 8.3” SS Hanson barrel
Superlative Arms Bleed-off gas block
BCM MCMR Rail, 7”
Toolcraft nitride BCG
BCM KAG handstop
Geissele ACH charging handle
Q Cherry Bomb muzzle device
Primary Arms GLX 2x prism optic
Dead Air Nomad suppressor

.22LR upper:
Aero Precision slick side upper receiver
RTB (CMMG) 9” barrel
Home made thread protector/linear comp
Aero Precision Atlas S-one rail, 7”
RTB (CMMG) dedicated bolt group
Bore Buddy reliability kit and bolt weight
Strike Industries latchless charging handle
Daniel Defense iron sights
Ariska hand stop
Dead Air Mask 22 suppressor

You have to link to the actual image file that ends in .png or .jpg or whatever.  The easiest way to do it is after you upload to imgur, you click on "get share links" and copy the one for forums which will have the bbcode tags already there.   It'll look like this if you do it right:

It's not 90 degree vertical.

So what was this new letter from the ATF? Vertical Grip is 90deg only?

it's literally marketed by BCM as a vertical grip, I don't think that counts.

It doesn't matter how it's marketed.  The ATF has determined, in all their infinite wisdom, that a vertical grip is at a 90 degree angle to the bore of the weapon.  You can clearly tell by looking at the grip that it is slightly angled.

hey I think it's all pretty silly and arbitrary, and yes I know it's very slightly angled, but my understanding was that you can't have a grip designed to wrap the thumb around below the bore, what angle is acceptable, would 1 degree off count?

Given all their shenanigans with pistol braces I would say they like to work in the arbitrary zone.

Brace is from Presma.  It's all aluminum and nice quality.  Put it on a Grid Defense buffer tube and so far it hasn't slipped with use.

Got it here:

I can't remember, can you put a vfg that is not 90 degrees on a pistol regardless of the oal or is that a factor? If my pistol is less than 26" can I out one on or am I f'd?

As wishy washy as the ATF is, the best bet is to stick with hand stops and angled foregrips on pistols.

At the very least, don't put pictures on the internet, of a vertical grip wearing pistol...

This. It is expressly stated on the brace itself..."not a stock." An SBR it is not

Wow, what a unique setup.  Beautiful build.

PIC THREAD:  First is a 7.5" .300 AAC, followed by a 10.3" 5.56.  Nothing special, but I like them and they shoot about as smooth as slowly thrusting one's turkey baster into a very juicy and plump bird.

Uh...  Yea, you can take that however you'd like?

That’s a pretty sweet build. There’s something about a shorty with a FSB and traditional hand guards.

I’d really love to build a Heat inspired pistol.
