That shiny connection on both and how domed it is, is a surefire way to tell one is a fake. The head is also suspicious. I hope you knowingly bought a knock off, nothing wrong with that if that was your budget, but just letting you know, just in case so you can hopefully get your money back. |

Anyone know of a source for some M4 "skinny" handguards?
Want to replace mine on my PSA 10.5 upper like the one above. |

Anyone wanting skinny handguards, these handguards look exactly like mine, inside and out
I can't guarantee they're the same, but the appearance is identical, right down to the groove on the heat shields and the pegs holding them to the polymer halves. Attached File |

What brand/color is that copper? Did you just paint the copper, let it cure, then spray black and wipe it off while it was wet? Some other technique? I dig it. |

What brand/color is that copper? Did you just paint the copper, let it cure, then spray black and wipe it off while it was wet? Some other technique? I dig it. Thank you Dave. I sprayed the cu paint on, let it cure for a few days, the used model car paint and a fine tip brush to dab the black paint on, then used a paper towel dipped in rubbing alcohol to push the black paint around. Took a couple hours and some trial & error, but that’s what I ended up with. I let it cure for a few more days then used some 1500 grit sandpaper to lightly smooth out all the painted surfaces. The cu paint is Krylon Fusion All in one Mettalic Copper I just did an old mossberg 500 shotgun the same way. Waiting for some old wooden stocks for it right now. ETA: here’s the shotgun so far |
