Is it time to start a 6mm ARC accuracy/pet loads thread or are components too hard to come by?

Speaking of components, the local Sportsman's Warehouse has the Hornady 110gr A-Tip in stock at "only" $83.00 a box...

Until my back ordered brass from October 2020 gets delivered, I'm not shooting my rifle beyond hunting. I only have 360 or so factory rounds.

IMO... Hornady has really fucked up not pumping out some brass... I know there's shit going on but I also see Hornady pumping out other stuff.

Dramatically more people asking for ammo, so the brass gets loaded into ammo instead of sold as components.

Good afternoon all,

I recently got a 18" mid-length Faxon barrel with adjustable gas block. What muzzle device would you all reccomend?

I'm a little recoil shy after my spinal surgery last year. I had my C3-T1 taken out, replaced and fused together.

Thanks in advance.

Suppressor is the only right answer.

Barring that, a muzzle brake.

TTAG, "The Truth About Guns", has some pretty comprehensive reviews of muzzle brakes, although in a 5.56 and 308 context.  that would be a good place to start.

I loaded some 95gr SSTs with 29.7gr Leverevolution, which is the max load in the Hornady manual. Shooting an 18” upper from Brownells with (I think) a VG6 muzzle brake, it recoiled less than my 556 AR shooting factory American Eagle.

I’m currently leaning hard toward a 6mmARC over 6.5G/6.8, so I appreciate hearing when components are hard to come by.

Also, your post reminded me to go buy a Brassgoat to better scavenge my brass.

A Must Have for sure. I use a small bag-like thing I picked up off Predator Masters Forum... works good. When night hunting finding brass can be problematic to say the least.
