Hello,

I'm building an 18 inch barrel 308 on an aero precision upper/lower set and probably going with one of the new 18 inch 308 barrels from Rainier.  I will be running the griffin armament RSTA over the barrel can.  Griffin states that the can and mount need 1.93 inches of clearance between the muzzle and the rail.  So.....how long a rail can I use? 15, 15.5, 16?  Thanks for the help.

Green.

1.93 plus the amount of threading subtracted from 18 and you have an answer.

Just get a 15" rail.

Make sure you get the 308 raised rail if you are using the M5 upper.

Good luck on your build.
