I need some help getting a zero on my MagPul Pro Buis on my .308 AR.  I tried the old M1A standard 25yd. zero and was blown away by the difference.  Using M80 (Radway Green) ball with a 25 yd. POA = POI, I was hitting 7 inches high at 100yds from a rest.  I've never had that kind of variation in my M1A with the same ammo.  I always get the standard M14 BSZ.

Any ideas?  I'm stumped.

Thanks.

Just a guess, but I believe that the M1A has iron sights that are far closer to the barrel's bore than an AR setup.  Your barrel to sight distance is likely twice that in an AR platform, so your sight compensation at 25yds is far greater.

Rifle configuration and ammo can affect the results. However, about 1" low at 25yds, should get you closer than that at 100yds. Another factor is, how precisely you can aim at that distance, with flip ups.
