Got an issue with my 14.5 pistol gas length 300 blk rifle ejecting rounds really hard at about 5 o clock and denting brass. currently running a spikes t2 buffer. would you guys recommend running a t3 buffer instead? dont really wanna get an adjustable gas block. recommendations from the pros?

Need more info on what ammo you are shooting.

What brand barrel? Do you have to know that gas port diameter?

Hate to say it but i am guessing an adjustable gas block is going to be the best solution.

Yes run a heavier buffer, also put some velcro the soft side on your shell deflector which is denting the cases. To be honest no matter what you do some cases will hit the deflector, because of the shorter 300blk case length.

not sure what the gas port size is. Its an anderson 14.5 barrel. shooting 110 and 220 gr remington ammo. i have the tungston t2 buffer but i bought an ST-T3 heavy buffer yesterday. wondering if i should return it or just use it.

I would try an enhanced spring or adjustable gas block with the T2 buffer.  Talk to the guys at Sprinco about what you've got.  Sprinco 'hot white' or 'blue' maybe...

I have a 14.5" 300 blk and I too get the denting of the brass. I assume it is denting on the case opening lip, making a "D" shape? I have asked around and have been told that is just how it goes and is attributed to the shorter case?

velcro on the shell deflector is an easy fix

On my blackout I get strong ejections on supers but on subs they are around 3 o clock. Blackout has so many variations that you really need to find a good mid point if you plan on running different types of ammo

My supers get dented because of the shorter case.

I shoot only suppressed subs in my 10.5" blackout.

Velcro solved my problem of dented case mouths.

Supers are going to get dented, because the short case means they are extracted from the chamber sooner in the cycle than .223 cases.  It's how the caliber works with an AR platform.

With all the problems that have been experienced by others,  I just put an adjustable Seekins GB on my 8 inch at build time and have not had any problems that weren't quickly adjusted out. In fact when I finally finished my F1 can, I didn't have to adjust for my subs at all.  Same setting for unsuppressed supers and suppressed subs. It doesn't work the other way but if I wanted to I could adjust out.
