Regarding 300 blk short barrel AR's
For guys who do or have used adjustable gas blocks, how many degrees would you say you are turning the adjustment screw to go between super and subsonic? Is it typically an 1/8 turn? 1/4? 1/2? More? If you could, include what gas block you are referencing Thanks (No, I'm not going to try to use this info to adjust a gas block. Just trying to get a ball park idea across the board ) |

My SLR gas blocks adjust at 3 clicks per full revolution.
If I recall, shooting subsonic and supersonic doesn't have a huge difference in bolt velocity. At least, not enough to adjust the gas block for lower recoil. It comes in handy for suppressed/unsuppressed. |

Also Sub and super? Want to know if there's a block that takes less than about 45 degrees rotation |

For me, with both an SLR and Syrac it is two clicks between suppressed and unsuppressed to get the brass landing in the same spot. That's for both 300BLK and 556. Not a big difference. How much rotation is that? About a quarter turn. (Updated: SLR is 1/3 turn per click, Syrac is 1/4 turn per click) -Stooxie |
