If I want to change the handguard out on my CMMG Mutant can I just use any regular AR15 rail?

DPMS high pattern compatible rails.

Ahh so it is .308 DPMS height. I was thinking it would be .308 because of bolt carrier and all.

Note that DPMS had a higher and a lower profile upper, different handguard to go w either.

Whats the difference between higher and lower and is one preferred over the other????

You just use the one that matches your upper. If you get the wrong one, the top rail height won't match.
