What do I need to change from the carbine buffer tube to a fixed stock buffer tube on my G2 Recon? Can I just buy a complete A2 stock kit and be gtg? Or are there buffer length concerns? I know the G2 bcg is maybe 3/4 inch longer compared to AR15's.

You need the stock, a rifle length receiver extension, 7.62/308 rifle buffer, and buffer spring. I recommend the Magpul moe rifle stock. Looks good, and performs even better. The rifle length extension is the same for the 5.56 and 7.62

I tried the Magpul fixed carbine stock on my GII MOE. I found it just a little to short for the recoil of a 7.62 AR.
