| I'm looking to buy a 450 upper for hunting use. Anyone know what makes are more accurate then others? Bushmaster, Tromix, Gryphon, etc. The Tromix looks very nice, but can't find any reviews or acccuracy info for them |

If prior calibers are any indication, the 458 socom produced by Tromix give moa accuracy easily. Even my 10.5" 458 shoot 1-1.5". Load work up as usual is required. I would not hesitate to recommend a Tromix barrel. I own 2 and am thinking about another (IN 375 SOCOM).
But now Tony at Tromix is talking about a 50cal...OH MY

I have a stock 16" Bushmaster Upper with a 3x9 Nikon Omega. Lower has a Geissele DMR trigger.
With the Hornady factory load, five shots consistently group at 1" at 100 yards. Same bullet, same case, 37.9 grains of Lil' Gun and the groups shrink by a 1/4" when I do my part. I can't speak to the other brands you mentioned but there is a lot of good information on 450Bushmaster.net. |

I do not reload, but have similar results with my 16in Bushmaster upper and Hornady load at 100 and 200yrds. I have owned my 450B for about 6yrs now. Accuracy is very good. If you head over to 450bushmaster.net, there are plenty of accuracy discussions. The remmington corelock ammo is not favored at all. |
| One more vote here for the 16" Bushmaster upper (Pre Freedom group, mind you) with Hornady 250 grain factory ammo. I was impressed with the precision (consistent small groups at 50-100 yards) of this hard-kicking beast but I sold mine, due to lack of use and $1.50 per round ammo costs for a caliber that I don't need for target shooting. |
