| Getting ready to start my 243 build, I will be using DPMS upper receiver and I need to know will my .308 BCG work and if not where can I get a 243 BCG and who makes one? |
| The .308 bolt will work fine with .243, 7mm/08, and some others that use the .308 parent case. I have two Armalites. Initially one was .308 and one was .243. I turned the .243 into a .308 with a barrel change and didn't have to change any other elements. I didn't even have to changed the buffer. |

I had a DPMS 243 AR. Great rifle but weighed a ton so I sold it. Wish DPMS would come out with a Gen II version. Me two, except I'm not selling mine 
They have a .243 GII Compact Hunter in the works but no release date that I can find. Even tried asking in the DPMS Ind forum but no answer. |
