| 9 inch ballistic advantage barrel with omega suppressor. Which buffer should I run? Thanks. |

This is my experience with running 300 blackout SBR's (mostly 8 inch barrels) so it might be different for you and others.
On piston builds I use only a carbine weight buffer (3.0 oz ) and mil spec spring. I have had an issue with H2 (4.7 oz) and H (3.8 oz) buffers on 300 blackout piston builds cycling subsonic rounds. I have had great success with the JP silent capture buffer with piston uppers. I highly recommend the JP silent capture! If you are going to only use a direct impingement upper , then things open up more to you. You can use everything from a carbine buffer (3.0 oz) upper to a H2 (4.7 oz). I would still only use a mil spec spring and avoid the heavy springs. With DI everything was fine on cycling with or without the can on my 8 inch SBR's. Stick with a pistol length gas system. |
