Just got a new .308 semi-auto and it's a bit overgassed.  Going to send it back in for a look for that and a few other issues, but still think I'm going to put an adj gas block on when I get it back.  Want to run suppressed, un-suppressed, and off (for subsonic).

SLR Sentry 7 seems like the tits.. any thing out there better I should consider?

SLR is the way to go ! Have one on 6.5 creedmoor and had one on my .308 worked great switching back and forth If you have a longer handguard the screw is a bit much to get to with the standard wrench they offer and extended one for this purpose also.

I'm using a SLR Sentry 7 on mine.  It's my first adjustable gas block so I can't compare it to others but I am more than happy with it.

There are basically two choices, SLR and MicroMOA.  For what you want, I'd say MicroMOA.  It's a little more work to get it set up properly, but once it's set up it's adjust on the fly.  Just use a bullet tip or other tool through the handguard to move the plate to the desired position.  The SLR is more of a set and forget.  Adjustments on the fly are a bit more difficult, but it is a lot easier to dial in as there's no disassembly or drilling required.

SLR ...for on-the-fly adjustments with and without suppressor.

ArmaLite ...for a static, but still easily reachable adjustment, much cheaper though. @ JoeBob's

The ArmaLite has the adjustments on the side and front like the SLR, unlike most others.

I have a Syrac Gen II on my .308.  I like it.  No problems.  Easy to adjust with positive click stops.

Sent SLR an e-mail with questions last night.. they answered it at 9:30pm on a Sunday... sounds like top notch customer service to me..

Just not 100% sure the set screws are going to line up.  May go the clamp-on route.

I put an SLR Sentry clamp on on my 308 and am completely happy with it. Even the clamp on version is small enough to fit under my utg pro super slim handguard and it's easy to adjust with the allen wrench they include.

Todd has answered my questions at all hours of the day and night on the weekends.  But, my previous generation gas block had issues.  That said, he mailed me a brand new current generation first thing on a Monday morning, no other questions asked, for free after my second issue.

I'm not totally convinced of the reliability yet but I am certainly giving him another chance.  I have googled it quite a bit, issues with his blocks are rare.

Same here. The Syrac is functionally identical to the SLR and usually a fair bit cheaper in price, as well.

I've run the SLR Sentry 7 on my regular AR15 and given the choice, I'd simply go with which ever one is priced better.

Aren't they just rebranded Syracs?
