I was wondering if there is barrel swap upgrade for the AR.308 platform?

What I mean by that the 300 black out for the AR15

There currently isn't anything like that out there.

You can build an AR308 in 6.5 Creedmore.

However, that's nothing like what you're talking about.

Maybe in the future they'll come out with a caliber like 500 Blackout that uses a .308 parent case and a .50 cal projectile

I would love to see some .458 pills stuffed into a .308 parent case. I wonder what kind of velocities you could expect? Seems like it would far outperform the .458 in a .223 case. Can someone much smarter speculate on that?

OP, not clear on your question. Are you just using the 300 Black as an example as it relates to the AR15?...and asking if there is something similar like a .243 AR10, 7mm.08, and similar cartridges which will allow you to use your mags and everything else besides the new barrel?
