I know the procedure for the proper break-in of a rifled barrel from my bolt guns.  But is there the same need for a chromed lined barrel?
Thanks

Barrel break in is a myth depending who you talk to

Correction.....my barrel is not chromed lined and is 4140 steel.  That 4140 steel makes proper barrel break-in all the more important

Where did you get that information?  I read everything on S&W's web sight and all I could find that the barrel is not chromed lined and is made of 4140.  That would be great if it is.
