I am in the process of rebuilding my CMMG mk3 18" upper.

I've had issues with the bolt carrier gas key coming loose twice despite being staked pretty deep. I was looking into another brand, like Aero Precision. The only outward difference between the CMMG and Aero is that the Aero seems to have serrations for the forward assist, but otherwise seems to be the standard 308 carrier. I assume that it'd be compatible with the DPMS pattern CMMG mk3 upper?

The other question I have is about replacing the handguard. I like the MI keymod, but it comes with a 0.150 and 0.210 tang. CMMG makes a point that their handguards are taller than the DPMS "low profile" upper, so I'm guessing that it'd be the 0.210 tang? But I have been unable to get a good answer from any of the companies involved in making these parts. The MI comes with a barrel nut, so it wouldn't be an issue of nut compatibility.
