Has anyone used a linear compensator on a 308? or any rifle at all? I like the idea of it acting like a krink booster and redirecting sound more forward which could be useful if in an emergency situation I have to shoot without ear protection. How do they do with muzzle rise?

I've never messed with one, but I'm thinking about one for my .308 too, after how bad that thing rang my bell hog hunting last year.  Supposedly they increase recoil.  Hopefully somebody on here has some experience with one.

I have the Troy Claymore on my M&P 10 and it offers very little recoil reduction.

Noise redirection... I use foam ear plugs when shooting the M&P 10 and have noticed that it is much more quiet on the trigger end of the rifle. I will find out in November if it is tolerable in the deer stand.

Muzzle rise... it might help just a little with muzzle rise. I haven't really paid attention to it.
