I have a Windham Weaponry SRC .308. Would I be able to swap out the gas block with the pictanny rail that comes on the rifle with a lower profile gas block. I would like to replace the current hand guard with an 11in quad rail. I have been looking at a model offered by Troy.

You can replace the gas block. Might need a new gas tube pin but you can reuse the gas tube itself.

As for the rail, depends on which rail you are looking at. Vice and receiver clamps may be required.

What rails do you like and recommend? I only have experience with the rail that came on this gun and the Magpul furniture on my Sig M400

I like MI, SLR, and BCM rails. But I like them light. Also, SLR is coming out with an adjustable block for 308s, not sure when, and it may be more than you need.

You might be limited in rails. The SRC has both Armalite and DPMS seasoning in the recipe.
