Looking to build a DPMS pattern 308 w/ 20" barrel, SLR adjustable gas block, and magpul ubr.  Which buffer/spring would work best for this?  JP silent captured spring (w/ or w/o spring pack?) , Slash's Heavy buffer/spring, standard dpms 308 buffer/spring, or something else?
I don't plan on using a low mass bcg.

I would start with the standard DPMS 308 spring and carbine buffer.  You can adjust the gas block as necessary so it should be all you need to dial it in.

I'm currently working on a 308 AR and I'm putting the JP Silent Spring in it.  I am curious how it will compare to the one I am running in my 300 BLK SBR.  It operates so smoothly that there is almost no felt recoil, I want to find out if that can be replicated in a 308 AR.

If the JP silent spring will work I would go that route. I just bought one for my suppressed AR thinking it may be a waste of money and after shooting it I ordered another for my Grendel.

Decided to not cheap out and bought the JP silent captured spring from Midway.  It may or may not be of any benefit but at least I won't be tempted to upgrade it later on.   Now I need to find some money for the rest of the rifle.

I have a factory DPMS buffer and spring that you are welcome to try out. If it works

for you pay it forward.

I appreciate the offer but with the JP on the way I shouldn't need it.
