I like this rifle and am looking at something for my first AR.  I haven't done a lot of rifle previously.  I've bow hunted my whole life for deer and elk and even lately starting putting in for muzzle loader too in the hopes it increases my odds at getting a tag.  At a friends request started branching out into the exotic game in this state but even those are once-in-a-lifetime hunts, (i.e., Oryx, Ibex, Big Horn Sheep).  Got a bolt gun about 4 years ago.  It would mostly be used for Barbary sheep on tags I have previously gotten or antelope I could start putting in for.  But, mostly it will be a range gun.  For the money, is there anything more accurate than the GAP-10?  I like being able to get a 22" bbl.  We have a 1000 yard range just outside of town.  And BLM land is a plenty.  The wait time seems to be around 10-12 months from a thread on snipershide forum.  Not happy about that and that might be reason to get something else.  I am part of a group awarded a judgment for back pay almost six years and counting.  Nice!  Won't be long now.  While I wouldn't mind putting a nice cerakoting on it, there are other upgrades I have in mind.  I have seen some nice work from Modern Outfitters but GA Precision does some nice work at matching the color of their rifles.  I will no doubt get a CQB rifle later just in case SHTF.  What should I do?  Thanks for help!

Go ahead and order one, you won't find a more accurate semi auto. Personally, I would pick one in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 22" lightweight barrel.

Rhino Arms VV-308. But it has an 18" barrel.

I went to SHOT show this year for the sole purpose of deciding on an AR-10 system.

I talked/held them all: POF, GAP 10 (would be my top choice but too heavy), LMT, LWRC, Sig, CMMG. No Larue. None were there

I went with Rhino for Accuracy. Availability. Weight. Plus they are local (MO) and they let me tour the factory.

They just updated the configuration of their hand guards to a KeyMod system in either carbon fiber or aluminum. Cerakote is an option too.

Billet 7075-T6 upper & lower. Precision machined trigger group. Nickel Boron coated machined BCG. 1/10 twist Chrome Moly Vanadium match barrel with salt bath nitride. Direct Gas Impingement. Adjustable gas block.

$3k MSRP.

I love this rifle.

Now that I went back to their site I remember doing their rifle builder.  Its just their base price is $3,400.  Its a nice rifle no doubt.  The operative word though was "for the money".  At $2,750, the GAP-10 looks to be the one to beat as the most accurate for its price.  I think when I added all the upgrades to the GAP-10 it was coming in just under JP's LRP-07 base price.  I'm sorry but it's hard for me to understand JP's 18" barrel being more accurate than GA Precision's 22".  Is it that much better?  What makes it more accurate for the extra $650?  Hey, if I can find an 18" barrel that is just as accurate as the 22" for the same price, I'd take it.  I just want to understand what makes it better.  Thank you for posting.  No doubt I've taken a good look at them but need to understand.

I went JP because I wanted the side charging handle, its lighter, softer recoil, absolutely a work of art plus GAP is 10-12+ month wait JP 2-3 month wait.  My good friend had a GAP 10 sold it to order a JP after he got behind mine.
