I have been building AR15's for years. I know virtually nothing about the AR10/LR308 platform. I cant find the answers I need on line, so I am asking them here. I shoot 3-Gun, and so this is going to be my long range 750+ meter rifle. Since I want to go eventually go past 1K meters, I think the .260 is my caliber of choice. I also want to use PMags. If I had $3500 laying around, I would buy a JP, and be done with it. I am going to build the rifle, so I can build what I want, and that is where the confusion begins. I dont know the difference other than cosmetically, between the Armalite and DPMS style rifle. It becomes even more confusing with companies like Mega that look like an Armalite, use Pmags, and accept JP Barrels which are I believe DPMS.
My requirements are as follows: A good looking receiver set(Mega, Anvil Arms, JP, Larue, etc) 22-24" JP or equivalent barrel in .260 with an adjustable gas block. JP Lo-Mass BCG Magpul PRS Geissele HiSpeed NM Trigger Any knowledge, ideas or suggestions will be appreciated. |
