Does anyone have any better information or pictures of the insides of the Iranian KH-2002 M16 clone?

Its also called the Khaybar rifle. Its supposed to be a bull pup DI rifle. Where is the gas tube since i never see it in any pictures?  I'm curious where the action springs are. Also how disassembly works

Newton...from what little i know the gas system and bolt looks and operates the same as the stoner design but the rifle strips down a little differently. Good luck getting pics of the internals though the iranians are quite tight lipped about it. Try googling KH2002

There seems to be VERY limited information on the internet about the workings of the latest version of that rifle. My guess is the iranians think its worth keeping quiet about.

What is interesting about this rifle is the step away from com-bloc ammo for a NATO standard ammo and magazines. Not a bad idea to also use the same ammo as your enemy, In a war with Iran we could strip rounds from a captured mag, insert a 300blk round fill back up with 556 and then leave them on the battle field for the enemy to snatch back up..........

I never thought of that aspect of the rifle. If it were me I would just fill them with dummy rounds.

Put dummy rounds in and the weapon still functions, but chamber and fire a 300blk in a 556 chamber and you remove the weapon and hopefully the operator from service.

If you go that route, load the second round with pistol powder.  Gun go boom that way, too, and it won't be something they can see if they examine the cartridges outside of the magazine.  Otherwise, I like it!

It really bugs me how little information there is. I wonder if its just propaganda.
