Wasn't really sure where to ask this. I don't see a dedicated section for it. Can you guys give me a small list of ar10 uppers and lowers of high quality to serve as a starting point for my research. I'm ready to build one but have no clue where to begin. It took me months of research with my ar and I'd like to avoid this again if possible. Thanks.

Did you already read up on the Variants page?

Good luck.

AR15 is very standard across the board. AR10 is anything but standard. There are 2 major platforms DPMS and Armalite. Within those you will also find many variants.

But do not give up. There are many good ones out there.

Hmm. Makes me think I may either build a spr instead or maybe buy a complete . Also will read up in the variants . Thanks.

They are spendy in comparison.  Much better now, than when I started rebuilding mine.

The DPMS / SR 25 pattern is very friendly with PMags.

Armalite AR10 A-models are also pmag friendly however the upper and lower receivers have that funnky angled cut at the rear so they do not fit other manufacturers products.
