Ok as the cold starts to settle in here in NH. I  this year without a project , but PSA's recent blem lower with parts kit has left me with a lower and no Upper. Currently I ave Ar's in 22lr 223/556 300 blk ,5.45x39, 7.62x39 , 50 Beo
I would am leaning toward to a 6.5 grendel but cant seem to find bolt or barrel any where. (if you have a source throw me a line) leaving 6.8 or possibly a pistol caliber.. This will have to be done one piece at a time.. so ideas for something to build over the next 3 or 4 months are welcome.

Don't quote me on this one but pretty sure 6.5 Grendel bolt is the same bolt used for 7.62x39

That used to be the case, but not so much anymore. The actual Grendel bolt has a deeper face than a 7.62x39 bolt. There are still a few manufacturers out there headspacing their chambers to a 7.62 bolt, but only a few.

OP - Your best bet for a Grendel barrel right now is to pick the one you want at Midway and get on the notification list. The AR Stoner barrels (heard nothing but good things about them) come into stock from time to time. You just have to be ready when they do. If you want a super high quality barrel, call Satern and order one. Rumor is that they figured out their bolt sourcing issues and the barrel floodgates are about to open.
