I am asking this... Please don't argue about this, I just want some suggestions. Been thinking about maybe a .260 Remington or a 6mm BR but I need more info and suggestions on other rounds and these rounds. I know there are 6.5 Grendel which is something im already getting involved in but I want other unique rounds that go long way and are very. very. accurate. I don't mind what lower they fit in. I was even thinking about 6.5x47 Lapua but of course, like I said, I need more info ad ideas (even on these as well.) What yall suggest? Im all ears.

I'll go with a classic and a newcomer: I'm still in love with the venerable 7mm-08. There is as much data out there on it as there is on the .308Winchester.

Meanwhile, I've been looking into the 6XC lately. This newer kid on the block is only supplied for by a single manufacturer each of brass, dies, etc. If you're considering the 6.5s or 6BR, you should definitely look into the 6XC.

Can't do real links from work, but copy-n-paste this to get started:

Sounds like you want an AR-10 in 6.5 Creedmore or .260 Rem. (Basically the same performance.)

I have precision rifles in:
6XC
.260
.260 AI
6.5-284
7mm-08
.308
.300 RUM
.338 Lapua
.375 CheyTac
.50 BMG

Pick one and practice, they all work great.

AR Performance used to make a barrel & bolt combo for the 6.5mm BRX, not sure if they still do...doesn't hurt to check them out
or give them a call and ask about current availability...Generally the 6.5mm & 7mm calibers are going to yield the best long range
results, (with some of the 6mm versions also having very good performance) that will still fit in a standard AR-15 lower...Good Luck.

Your barrel quality will be the main determining factor in accuracy.

Then you get into the discussion about inherently accurate cartridges. One area that seems to be almost universally agreed on is that a 30-40 degree shoulder angle allows for a more consistent burn, providing more inherent accuracy from a cartridge point of view, but the barrel is well over 90% of that equation.

Decide what ranges you need to reach, then pick the cartridge, then the action. The .260 Rem, 6.5 Creemoor, and 6.5x47 Lapua will be the cartridges to beat in the AR10 action.

All the BR/BRX/XC based cases can be necked-up/down to 7mm variants, Including the Grendel & SPC cases, the
7mm ARk and .30 HRT come to mind as a example of these type of variants. Probably the best parent case for a
6.5mm or a 7mm variant would be the .30 RAR with a 44 grain H20 capacity...
