| Carefully slot it with a dremel, then back it out with a screwdriver. You may be able to chase the threads if it isn't to buggered up. 2 out of 3 of the the bolt catch pins I recently bought were to tight to use on my last build and would not go all the way in. Dunno if DPMS is having tolerance problems. |
| First thing that went wrong, is your using a AR-15 bolt catch on a MATEN (.308). Second thing that went wrong is your using a PSA bolt catch. We warn against using a PSA bolt catch with our AMBI AR-15 lowers for this reason. The PSA bolt catch has a hole that is too narrow for our threaded pin. Everyone else's will fit but their's. You are going to have to grab the end of the screw with a vise grip or equivalent, and smack it with a hammer to remove the boogered up screw. Call in to us to get a replacement once it is removed. Also, get a .308 bolt catch. We DO recommend DPMS or CMMG for that. |

I would recommend taping everything you can on the receiver with a few layers of masking tape to avoid buggering up your receiver before doing anything more with this. Anodize aluminum is hard, but not as hard as steel.
It saved me a lot of grief when I installed the mag catch. |
