Shot several sub-.5 MOA groups, with Hornady 150 SST, 165 Nosler BT and 168 SMK.  Berger 168 VLD and 168 Amax were .6 or so. [As an aside, all ammo shot to the exact same POA. All hand loads. It was weird. Every round went exactly to same point]

This rifle is just incredibly accurate. I can't get any of my bolt actions to match it.

Anyone getting these results or did I get an outlier?

my SASS was a tack driver as well, 3/4 MOA with 180gr power points, 10 shot groups.
they make some great guns.

Have a 14.5 inch barreled that shoots better than it should. Puts 155 Hornady TAP and several different Milsurp with headstamps from 1979 to 2012 at same POI. Hasn't hiccuped on anything even once. I need to unload it on some unsuspecting fool though because the internet says DPMS 308 rifles are garbage.

I'm getting 5 round groups the size of a dime with 110 grn vmax.
Can hit bowling pins in the heat @ 300 with ease.  Love the gun, but it's a pig to carry!  Taken deer with it @ 320 yds too!

Yes, gun is VERY accurate.  Many .5" 100 yard groups, most run .75 and even with pulled FMJ 147 Mil South African soft metal jacket bullets I get 1-1.25".   I just competed in a 1200 yard competition...the gun did well, I need to get my shooting skills up to speed.  The stock triggers are nearly worthless for competition.

But, it IS a pig to lug around.

I put the AR Gold trigger in it and a magpul stock. (I can't hit paper with any stock AR trigger. I put the AR Golds in every AR.  I hear Jewell is better but the AR Gold works for me.) I'm not a very good benchrest shooter, so those sub .5" 5 shot groups really stand out. When the RO comes over and starts asking how in the hell am I getting those groups with an AR....

Anyway, with a great trigger , the LR 308B is impressive. We use 4 wheelers and only hunt from deer stands and shooting houses, so I don't have to carry it. I shot a nice doe the day after Newtown because I wasn't sure how long Obama  and Pelosi were going to let  me keep it.

165 grain Nosler BT handloaded, 45 grains of Varget and LC brass. Bang, flop.

If you can haul it into the stand, it's a formidable hunting rifle. I have a safe full of bolt actions, they all do the job and they are lighter, but I don't know how I can keep the DPMS out of the stand this season.

I started hunting with AR's years ago, and all my bolt guns now collect dust. AR hunting is just alot more fun

my main hunting rifle is a DPMS REPR in .260 rem, its about 1/3 mile hike to the stand. not too far, but the three point
sling takes all the weight. i'v walked quite a ways with it tracking the inlaws wounded deer
I also use the Berger VLD hunting bullets, they are GREAT for deer.

great for long range, I can goto 700yards from my stand

Ive got two dpms lr's that are extremely accurate.  3/4 moa 10 shot groups or better for both the 260 rem and 308 with hand loads... lapua brass, br2 primers, charge weights +/- 0.05, etc.

They are heavy but so what? :-)

In my OP, I failed to mention that I get the same accuracy, or maybe better, from my DPMS 260. Just wish I could find a DPMS 243.

To be such junk, they sure are hard to find....

Yea my 260 is also a little more accurate as well.  Probably 10-15% tighter groups on average.
