| In the galaxy? Yes they're out there. Just check out GunBroker. Plenty to choose from. You can pay as little as $40 plus shipping for one. But if you're so inclined, one dealer will allow you to have the privilege of paying $90 each plus shipping if you buy two. Yeah, yeah, I know. Capitalism, supply and demand, blah, blah, blah. I've always thought the term profiteer more appropriate. But that's just me. |

A couple of weekends ago the Columbia Sc gun show (fairgrounds version) had at least one dealer(sorry forgot the name but they hits all the shows in the region) with plenty of 20 rd 308 P-Mags for $19.99 ( and the $12-ish and $14-ish5.56 window variation pricing structure). On Sunday at the end of the show he still had a good tub full 30-ish-40-ish rough guess. He had no limits on purchases but I would bet he would tell a hoarder/profiteer buyer to get bent.... His booth was decent for AR stock parts but had obviously been brisk sales. He was looking for the rest but still educating any new AR customer questions. Referred people to other dealers for items he didn't have that were non panic priced.
BCG were of course still in the absurd range even with with PSA right down the road running a special with a LPK with BCG for less than what they were asking. I wonder if they stocked up there before they set up at the show..... The other "I'm gonna rich" dealers were sitting on non-moving stock and people looking and then crossing the aisles. The attitudes were showing that bad. Consumers help control prices and availability but we have to act intelligent , not as panicked lemmings running off the cliff. So have faith they are coming back and so are the prices. Just don't buy all that you see cause the issues for the rest of the people. I was taught you never take the last growing up because someone may need it more than you, unless you need it that badly. It is a shame more people don't act civil to their own people/sport/hobby. |
