| Does anyone know of a free float quad rail made for dpms-low height 7.62/308 that isn't the troy? I have a s&w m&p 10 that I'd love to get a free float quad rail on. Most all seem to be modular, not the right height, or thetroy which seems fragile in its barrel but clamp system |

I've read the dd lite is dpms high height
The issue I have with the Troy is that the rail is in two halves and someone said there are no anti rotation tabs in the dpms model. I'll check out sws Cost isn't the issue, I'd gladly pony up for the did rails but that 1/8" height difference would bother me |

far as i know the sws is old height. apex gator grip has a new height option, but you have to buy the top rail separate. samson evo has one but i dont think its out...or if it is its impossible to find. options are pretty limited. Yep, looks like the Troy MRF is the only aftermarket quad rail for the DPMS low height receiver, and as mentioned it does not have the anti-rotation tabs like the 5.56 versions. Don't know why they did that, plus I've heard it's a little on the heavy side. All the others mentioned are tubular handguards of one form or another, including a new one Centurion is working on. So far the Apex is the one I'm most interested in but it's not a quad rail. |

DPMS REPR handguard? <a href="http://s27.photobucket.com/user/J75player/media/REPR.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c183/J75player/REPR.jpg</a> Well yeah, there is that one too |

I think this might be what I was looking for. I have asked DPMS two questions, namely:
1) What does the A3-style mean? Does this indicate the DPMS-Low profile rail height or something different? 2) What is the "standard" length? Just wondering if it would cover a midlength gas block completely or if I'm misunderstanding what it is entirely. Do you guys happen to have any info on this rail or either of the questions? http://www.dpmsinc.com/308-Standard-Length-Low-4-Rail-Free-Float-Tube_p_324.html |
