I am currently loking at buying a DPMS 308 LRL, and was wondering what accuracy level this rifle should shoot to?  any one out there witha long range light?

I can consistently hit steel to about 600 yards using 168 SMK handloads w/LR308. Still trying to perfect my skills to get farther out.

If you get one in .260 Remigton you can easily strech it out past the 1000 yard line with good ammo and a 20" tube or longer.

If you already have it in 308 caliber you can always get a extra upper in .260 Rem. for longer range work with less recoil.

Good Luck.
