I picked up a LR308 a month ago for hog huntin, then bought a FN SCAR Friday....the carbine will become my go to hog hunter. If yall had the carbine covered, what would yall do to the lr308 if you were me?

So you're saying convert it to a .260? I have a Abolt .270 I hunt with. Something wrong with the 308 for long range?

I love the .270 - love it, and of course didn't know you had one. In any case, I myself have an extra "LR" upper, and am really considering building it into a 260 Rem, mostly because of the great 6.5 bullets available, and also because it is more forgiving of range estimating errors than the 308.
