i have a RRA 6.8 can i remove the upper and replace it with it with a 556 upper. it would be cheaper to practice with.

Yes, the 5.56 case has a smaller rim diameter and the 6.8 bolt will not work with 5.56

To run 5.56 you will need....

5.56 barrel (of course)
5.56 bolt (you can use the same carrier)
5.56 magazine

Yes, they will be included in a complete upper.
 



ETA: just make sure your getting a complete upper with bcg, some companies sell them without the bolt carrier group.

that was my point...if you get a complete upper, you won't really have to worry about making sure you have each of the things mentioned above because they'll be there

Most companies refer to a complete upper as one fully built and comes with a bolt carrier group and charging handle.  A few companies sell them without the bolt carrier group and charging handle.
