Here is the situation... I just bought this, but I haven't actually received it yet. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/36_793/products_id/61645/DPMS+PANTHER+Semi-Automatic+308+Winchester+19%2B1+Capacity+18%22

Since it has the skeletonized A2 stock, I'm assuming it has a rifle length buffer tube, buffer, and spring.

When I get the rifle in,  I would like to change to a Magpul MOE collapsible stock.
http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/lower-parts/stocks/moe-m4-carbine-collapsible-butt-stock-military-model.html

In order for it to fully collapse, it is my understanding that I need to switch to a carbine length buffer tube, and therefor I also need a carbine length buffer and spring that is .308 specific.

I'm planning to use this tube,

http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/lower-parts/individual-parts/palmetto-state-armory-6-position-mil-spec-buffer-tube.html

and this buffer and spring combo

http://heavybuffers.com/ar10carbine.html

My question is, are the parts I'm planning to use correct? Will that make everything work correctly? Is there anything I'm missing? A plate or spacer or anything?

Thanks for any help.

Look ok. DPMS also has a short buffer that is a lot less expensive. Check it out at Rainer arms. Post some pictures when done.

I agree with JD. Bought one of em' a few months ago, dressed it up and with my own reloads........it will be my Buck rifle...

You will need a receiver end plate and a castle nut to attach the receiver extension (buffer tube), but it looks like you're good-to-go on everything else.

Thanks for catching that. I think I'm just going to get this complete kit, but not use the included buffer and spring

http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/lower-parts/stock-kits/palmetto-state-armory-moe-stock-kit.html

and then use this buffer and spring from Ranier Arms (thanks for the tip JD42)

Does that look better?

Then maybe I can sell the rifle length buffer and spring for .308 that came with the gun and the carbine length buffer and spring for AR15 that came with the kit, and hopefully make a few dollars back.
