I put an adjustable buttstock on the factory buffer tube on my LR 308.  Have about 50 rounds thru it  and noticed yesterday the bolt carrier would not retract all the way in the tube.  The tube has a noticable bend in it.  Does anyone make a steel replacement tube for these.  Has anyone else run into this.  The buttstock is from Competition Shooting Stuff

I would get a 7075 T6 buffer tube. I am unaware of anyone selling a steel tube. Mil spec is the 7075 T6. I like the Spikes, but they can be hard to find. I have been getting the PSA's for $16 lately when they are on sale.

Can you post pics of this?  Is it a rifle tube, or carbine?
